Introduce Myself

Hello! My name is Wendy Vo, and I'm from Vietnam. I began studying at Yeronga State High School on 4th October 2023 as a Year 9 student. My favourite subjects are Mathematics and Accounting. I hope to attend university to study Business in the future.

What I Enjoy Most About Homestay Life

I’m staying with a host family who are distant relatives, and they have made me feel very welcome. Their three children, aged 10, 7, and 4, are adorable! We spend lots of time playing video games and having fun together. I really enjoy these moments, it feels like I’m part of their family.

A Memorable Moment

One of my most special memories so far was when my host family organized a birthday party for me. They prepared a beautiful cake and gave me a thoughtful gift. It was a wonderful day spent with them, and I felt very grateful to be part of such a caring family.

Living in a homestay has been an amazing and enjoyable experience. It’s given me the chance to learn about Australian family lifestyle and feel at home far from home.

School Experience

I went to Noosa, Sunshine Coast, for a school excursion. I really enjoyed spending time with my school friends. At our camping site, I saw lots of kangaroos, which was an amazing experience for me. It was wonderful to be away from home and enjoy something new and exciting.
