New dance & education pathways starting Semester 1, 2026 - Students can now pursue dance education through either:
JCU – James Cook University
- Selecting dance as a second teaching area in the Bachelor of Education (Secondary)/Bachelor of Creative Arts, or
- Completing a dance minor in the Bachelor of Creative Arts, followed by the Master of Teaching (Secondary).
JCU James Cook University – Medicine & Vet Science applications
- Medicine Interview Process Now Includes a Fee: Selected applicants will be invited to participate in an interview using an online system managed by Kira Talent. Those invited will receive full details with their interview offer. Interviews will be live with two panel members, and applicants will be responsible for paying Kira Talent a fee of USD $18.12 plus tax for the use of the interview platform.
- Veterinary Science Introduces Interview and Casper Test: All applicants will be required to complete a Casper test (an online, open-response situational judgment test) and participate in an interview. All interviews will be conducted using the Kira Talent online system. Applicants will be responsible for paying the associated fees:
- Casper Test: AUD $59 base fee + $30 distribution fee
- Kira Talent Interview: USD $38.84 plus tax an applicant has already completed Casper for another veterinary institution in 2025, they do not need to retake it.
