From July 17–18, 2025, students and teachers from Hailiang Foreign Language School, a leading private international boarding school in Zhuji, Zhejiang, China, began their overseas study tour with a memorable visit to Australia with us here at Yeronga State High School.

About Hailiang Foreign Language School

Key Activities at Yeronga SHS:

• Welcome Ceremony & Icebreakers: Students were greeted warmly with a welcome presentation and fun bonding activities with their Yeronga buddies.
• Classroom Immersion: Hailiang students attended regular classes with their buddies, experiencing subjects like science, arts, and humanities in a new academic environment.
• Campus Tour: Students explored the Yeronga campus, gaining insights into school life in Australia.
• Cultural Exchange: Shared morning teas and lunches allowed students to engage socially, ask questions, and form friendships across cultures.
• Farewell Ceremony: The visit concluded with a special celebration featuring a slideshow, speeches, student performances, and the presentation of certificates and gifts.

This first week not only provided educational insight but also helped students grow personally developing global awareness, communication skills, and lasting friendships.
