A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is an individual education number that stays with you for life. It provides access to records of any Vocational Education and Training (VET) undertaken in Australia. A USI number is required to enrol in university, TAFE, or other nationally recognised training. Additionally, it ensures access to Commonwealth financial assistance and qualification statements of attainment online.
